How will I feel when my blood glucose (sugar) is low?

Low blood glucose, or low blood sugar, is called hypoglycemia. It is when your blood glucose is below 70 mg/dL.

A drop in blood glucose can cause: 

  • dizziness or headaches

  • weakness or fatigue (feeling tired)

  • shaking, sweating, or a fast heartbeat

  • feeling anxious or irritable 

  • hunger 

  • vision changes
