What causes low blood glucose (sugar)?
Low blood glucose, or low blood sugar, is called hypoglycemia. It is when your blood glucose is below 70 mg/dL.
Low blood glucose (hypoglycemia) may happen when:
you do not eat enough food
you take too much insulin or other diabetes medicines
you are more active than usual.
This may happen very quickly and could cause you to pass out if you do not treat right away.
