Checking Glucose Tips

Lancet: The lancing tool has settings that change how far the needle goes into your finger. Try the middle setting first.

You may need to change the device if you do not get enough blood.

Pen Injection Tips

Refrigeration: Keep unopened pens in the refrigerator until you are ready to use them. 

Once opened, check the guide for how long pens last at room temperature.

Choosing Injection site: Injecting insulin into the same spot multiple times can cause hard areas to form, and the insulin might not work as well. Avoid this by rotating the spots where you inject insulin daily.

Inject about 1 inch from the spot where you previously injected
