How should I store my insulin pens?
New (unused) pens:
Keep new pens in the fridge until you are ready to use them.
Throw away insulin pens that are past their expiration dates, even if they were stored in the fridge.
Used pens:
Keep used pens at room temperature in your kitchen or bedroom.
Keep away from light and heat.
Check each insulin pen’s guide to see how long each type of insulin lasts at room temperature. They may not be the same.
Never store your pen with the needle on.
