How can I get active?
Stand up. Move around. Sit less.
Set a goal to be more active! Every minute you are active counts! Many doctors suggest being active for about 20-30 minutes each day.
Activities that make you breathe faster are good for your heart. If you are breathing so hard you cannot talk at the same time, you may want to slow down.
Being active can be part of your daily routine! You can:
Take a couple flights of stairs, instead of using the elevator.
Walk to the next bus or train stop before getting on.
Think about places you can walk instead of drive.
Take a walk during breaks at work.
Stand up for 1-2 minutes every 30 minutes.
